Hulu will be significantly expanding its availability following Disney’s Fox purchase.
During a recent earnings call, Disney Chairman Bob Iger said the company plans to begin making Hulu available internationally after the purchase of Fox is complete, according to Combicbook.com.
Currently, the streaming platform is only available in the United States. While licensing agreements may restrict some programs from being offered internationally, no official details have been announced.
Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox is currently set to be completed on Jan. 1, 2019, which will give Disney a controlling stake in Hulu and grant Marvel Studios control over the X-Men film franchise.
